Tundish Upper Nozzle
- Positioned within tundish lining, conveys steel to replaceable control nozzles governing flow rate.
- Must withstand long casting sequences.
- SNREF type: Features ultra-high insert for superior erosion resistance, extending casting cycles.
- Lower surface ground to precise tolerances for maximum contact with mating nozzles.
Tundish Lower Nozzle
- Fixed to tundish bottom within an assembly; design varies by system manufacturer.
- Supplies zirconia inserts and composite nozzle designs for steel flow metering.
- Zirconia inserts allow on-site assembly into metallic blocks, requiring cementing, grinding, sizing, and drying before use.
- Manufactured via fine-grained alumina casting or pressing processes.

to cause the phenomenon of tranverse fracture and failure of air blowing.
The Segment plug has successfully soved the problem of fracture existing in traditional slit plug. Significantly increasing the stability
