The 1QC ladle slide gate is a crucial device for controlling molten steel in the continuous casting process of steel plants. It is installed at the bottom of the ladle and is mainly used to precisely adjust the flow rate of molten steel from the ladle to the tundish, ensuring a balance between the inflow and outflow of molten steel, which makes the continuous casting operation easier to control.
Structural Composition
- Mechanical Part: Composed of components such as the base, support, sliding trolley, spring assembly, and drive assembly. The sliding trolley can slide back and forth within the support. The spring assembly creates a constant and uniform interfacial pressure on the active interface, and the drive assembly drives the sliding trolley to move back and forth to achieve the throttling of molten steel.
- Refractory Part: Usually includes upper and lower slide plates and a lower nozzle. The 1QC ladle slide gate plate is made of aluminum - carbon, aluminum - zirconium - carbon materials, with corundum, fused corundum, zirconium corundum, and zirconium mullite as the main raw materials. Metal micropowder and fine powder are added to improve the high - temperature performance of the slide gate plate. Phenolic resin and silica - modified resin with high residual carbon and solid content are used as bonding agents.
Working Principle
The upper slide plate is fixed, and the lower slide plate is movable. By sliding the lower slide plate relative to the upper slide plate through the sliding mechanism, the opening and closing of the molten steel flow hole are driven to adjust the flow rate of molten steel. When the inner holes of the upper and lower slide plates overlap, the opening of the nozzle is the largest, and when they do not overlap, the nozzle is closed.
