It`'s made from Hi-lime or large crystal FM,flake graphite,adding various additives like metal andboride,bonded with resole and novolac resin,it's hiah density,hiah strenath,hiah purity and has goodcorrosion resistance and good hightemperature oxidation resistance.
It is used at the tapping hole of an electric furnace and serves as a crucial component of the molten steel outflow channel.
The advantages of our taphole block:
1.Guiding molten steel flow - Provides a channel for molten steel to flow from the electric furnace to the ladle, controlling its direction and angle to ensure smooth, orderly tapping. Prevents splashing and enables accurate pouring into the ladle.
2.High-temperature resistance & protection - Withstands high temperatures during tapping, using refractory materials (e.g., magnesia-carbon, chrome-corundum). Protects the furnace structure around the tap hole from erosion by molten steel, extending the furnace's service life.
3.Aiding slag-steel separation - Reduces slag flowing into the ladle with molten steel. Since slag contains impurities that harm steel quality and refining, its design helps minimize slag mixing, optimizing steel quality.
4.Stabilizing tapping - Controls molten steel outflow speed via inner diameter, length, and internal structure, ensuring an appropriate flow rate. Improves tapping efficiency and enables smooth subsequent processes (e.g., casting).
