The nozzle filling sand compound used in steel plants is mainly applied in ladles and tundishes, playing a crucial role in the steel production process.
 

- Ladle: After the refining of molten steel is completed, a nozzle is set at the bottom of the ladle, and the tundish powder is filled in the nozzle area. When it is necessary to pour the molten
steel out of the ladle for casting, the tundish powder can guide the smooth flow of the molten steel. It can prevent the molten steel from solidifying prematurely at the nozzle and blocking it,
ensuring that the molten steel flows out of the ladle at a stable flow rate and volume and enters subsequent casting equipment such as the tundish. For example, in a converter steel - making
workshop, the molten steel is poured from the converter into the ladle for refining, and then the tundish powder is relied on to guide the molten steel into the continuous casting process.
- Tundish: The tundish is a container located between the ladle and the mold. The tundish powder is also used at the nozzle of the tundish. Its function is to smoothly and accurately guide the
molten steel poured from the ladle into the tundish into the mold for billet casting. By controlling the properties and usage methods of the tundish powder, it is possible to ensure that the molten
steel maintains good fluidity during the transfer from the tundish to the mold, avoiding problems such as flow interruption and blockage, thereby improving the quality of the cast billets and
production efficiency. On the continuous casting production line, the tundish powder in the tundish plays a key role in stabilizing the casting process and ensuring the quality of the cast billets.
